The import things to remember about the Passport warranty is:

A)  Theft and Loss are your two greatest areas of exposure.  You are
far more likely to have it stolen or loose it by dropping it over the
side of a boat, etc.

B)  The Passport warranty DOES NOT cover cosmetic damage.  So, you can
drop your M6 off of a cliff, you recover it and send it to Leica and
they fix it.  You end up with a camera that looks like hell...but it
works.

C)  A simple "rider" on your home owner's insurance policy will cover
everything (all forms of loss) at a price much less than the
additional $200 or $300 you have to pay for the Passport warranty.

Think carefully before you invest.
