And my 19 Elmarit R (latest) is just as sharp as the 35 Summilux ASPH. But since they are so different, it's not really meaningful to compare. What is hard to believe is that you could actually believe this trip about Minolta designing lenses 10 years before they struck a deal with Leica. And what do you see when you open up an old Leica lens? Signs saying "Made by Minolta in Japan?"
