Good morning from Northern Virginia.

"The Handbook of the Leica System" was earlier called "Leica's General
Cataloque" and is a great reference book ("The Handbook"). It was
published with a date -- for example as "Edition of 15th September
1978," or later as "1996/1997" or "1997." These are all examples that I
have.

This year, 1998, Leica Camera AG published a new format of its catalog
and it is called, "Leica. The Program." My copy is dated 9/98. "The
Program" is 128 pages in length and is not as useful as "The Handbook."
"The Handbook" gave some technical information for cameras and lens out
of production.

I don't believe "The Handbook" is available for 1998 or 1999, as it has
been replaced by "Leica. The Program," as Leica Camera AG's new product
directory.
