sorry for private response. . .can't deal with the "flame" this response
would probably start.
In my opinion (30+ years as a working pro, fun hobbyist, snapshooter and
Leica user, I have used the entire OM system (currently: 4 OM4T bodies,
18, 24 shift, 50 1.8, 55 macro, 100 2.0, etc.). .
The Leica M system produces better results, but - compared to the R system,
(and I've had the SL2, R7 and R8, with the legendary 100 2.8 apo and 180 3.4
apo) - the OM is winner. Smaller, lighter, better meter, lens quality about
the same as Leica. . .and much more affordable.
The 50mm 1.8 is every bit as good as any Leica R 50. And the 55 macro will
blow away any Leica R 50. The 24mm shift is in a class of its own (beat the
pants off Canon's 24mm shift/tilt).
