Subject: [Leica] Self Timers on Leica Screwmount cameras (LTM)

I would like to have a self timer along for emergencies for my IIIf. I
found something at the local camera store which is labelled Canon
Self-Timer. Will this work on my IIIf, and is there anything to
watch for? (it has a outer collar that looks like it should fit the
shutter button and allow the center plunger to move downward.
