Here's one for the 'wider the better' crowd:

<http://www.nemeng.com/photo/pano_image.jpg> (48 KB)

Notes:

o Sydney Opera House forecourt during an outdoor
   classical performance

o The x-axis field of view is 360-degrees, whilst
the vertical axis is 120-degrees. Which means
the whole shot is almost a full sphere, with the
people seated at the bottom of the shot almost
under the lens(!). Granted, a bit distorted,
but considering the amount of information on view,
   not too bad.

o Leica R6.2 with a 16mm Elmarit-fisheye. One of
the nice things about this lens is very small amount
of flare, despite being pointed straight into the
   sun.

o Film used was Kodak PJ100 C41 colour negative film.
You can see just how wide an exposure range it can
cope with (Australian sun to shadow varies 6+ stops!)

o The above jpeg is only a small thumbnail, the original
   image is 4350 x 1470 - detailed enough to count people's
teeth etc. Not bad for 35mm film!
