The Leica records show that it is Canadian, and the engraving is definitely different than her other one....I don't know how many were made, but I'd bet fewer than 3100. No one has wanted to buy it for more than (user)market price ($500), as the "collectors" say so what? It's in user (journalist) condition. OTOH, the MP is worth $10,000. 300 of them made. The Nikon SP is worth $1500 or so, 30,000 of them! Who knows what the "magic" number is? How many M4-Ps with non-flush windows were made? Is mine collectible? If we had these answers 25 years ago, we'd be retired!
