Peter,

I think that indirectly, you raise an interesting point. Do the vast
majority of Leica owners shoot at middle apetures? It seems from this group,
a lot of us shoot wide open.  Since I moved my Nikon and Bronica stuff to
the back of the cupboard 4 years ago when I got my M3 I seem to wish for
faster film and faster lenses. I live in the Toronto area and for the winter
months, it is dark outside when I leave for work and dark when I get home.
If I do any outdoor shooting, I need speed. Inside my house with the normal
household lights on, the brightest it gets is 1/30 at f2 with ISO 400, a lot
of the time it is 1/8 at f2.  The fastest lens I currently own is my 75mm
Summilux. I lust after f1 50mm and f1.4 35mm but I have a bunch of 4X5, MF
and maybe Nikon stuff to sell before I have the cash.
