Subject: Re: [Leica] Lens cleaning

BTW, I had to add (yes, again) to my rant. I wasn't clear on my
last tyrade (sp?) -- I have nothing BUT respect for the people
(call 'em what you want -- they do the same to us) who BUILD
the cameras, ADJUST the cameras, AND (god forbid) SERVICE the
cameras. "THEY" do what they're told, to the absolute best
of their ability. It's the Mr./Mrs./Ms "engineer-person" or
the idiot accountants/controllers of "specific ethnicity" that
I was criticizing in my last post. Didn't want to "offend" the
"wrong" sensitive-victim-person......
BTW, my mentor/camera mechanic/person of Germanic origin tried
working for Leitz (US) -- He said that they couldn't do decent
work because they had some nazi (his word) look at them and
his watch while they worked - for well below market pay --
worrying about the length of time they spent on their repairs.
Sounds like a case could be made for the excellent independent
Leica repair people, doesn't it.......kinda explains "Leitz
quality control variability" don't it????

CU later, now way-the-hell-off-ANY subject at hand....,
Walt
