No surprise, I was being sarcastic in response to some other remark. 

Just today a guy I was photographing asked to take a picture of me (and the
subject at hand behind me) with my R8 because "You guys never get in the
picture." So I handed him my R8 and 19mm lens (he's an insurance agent, he
can afford to drop it) and he took my picture.

He said, "That's a real expensive camera, isn't it?" I said, "Yep." He
said, "I can tell, because it just feels like a fine piece of equipment. I
knew it the second I held it and took a picture."

So there. From a rank amateur who knows little about cameras...
