Greetings all,

A couple of folks I know did a lot of work on that Everest film and the
stories of the equipment involved makes my 4x5 and 35mm gear pale by
comparison. Very few of these expeditions would be possible without the
many Sherpas that are involved. I know that just lugging my 4x5 around at
the base camp on the Tibet side was enough of a chore for me.

We will end up back in Kathmandu on December 31, after a stay in Thailand.
We are moving to Bangkok in the early spring so I am hoping to get in one
more good trek in the Himal before taking apart the darkroom and moving on.

	To keep this on topic - I used a Leica M4-P with a 50mm Summilux when I
photographed Sir Edmund last year.
