The "space" between the instruments!

It can be better defined with respect to its three dimensions with
the really good tubed amps and preamps. This, according to
friends with whom I spent an evening some years ago. The night
was one of careful listening to two high end systems playing the
same program material with the finest turntables available. Yes,
turntables. They are considered to have better spatial
differentiation than CDs.

Funny part of the night was that as it wore on and the quantity
of beer consumed increased asymtotically (sp?), critical listening
went down the toilet until everyone was rolling around, laughing
at each other and went home still advocating their particular point
of view.

      Thought for the day:
It is wrong to ever split an infinitive.
