Jim,

The new 180 Apo isn't big at all. I thought it was very nice size. And I
agree with you on the tradeoffs of the 180 lenses (of older vintage). I've
bought three 180 Elmarits (latest non-Apo version) over the years after
owning the original 180. (One was stolen). It is a great lens.  (And I have
one for sale! <g>).
