Hi Derek,

Well, let's see. Half the time I wonder myself if I've messed up
anything else that is skewing my results, but I seem to gravitate to
either APX25 or Delta 100. For the APX 25 I use Rodinal 1:25 for 6min
at 20C. I've found recently that what I call the "Agfa way" (inversion
every 30seconds) gives me too much contrast -- especially with the 25--
so I've gone back to my old "Ilford way" with 4 inversions once per
minute. This applies to both the APX25 and the Delta. However, I love
developing my Delta (shot at EI 80) in Perceptol. I think I go 13min @
21C in stock solution.

In any event, the APX 25 is fabulous for grabbing detail and sharpness;
tons of contour to things. The Delta has once again taken me away from
Tmax100. I've never seemed to get along well with that stuff -- at
least not to where I _really_ like the images, and get annoyed when I
see other coaxing stunning stuff from it. I just prefer the look of the
Ilford.

I also love my trusty APX 100 for its incredible tonality -- also in
Perceptol, though I'll have to look up my details. Just don't go
shaking the APX 25 too much and you should find all the detail you want!
Tech Pan is supposed to be awesome, but a pain. (Anyone care to
elaborate on this one?) I've been having quite a spell with contrast in
my own playing around tat I've always traced to the way I invert. Now,
of course, this might not apply to you equally, but...

Have fun!
Scott
