I just downloaded the Leica 1997/98 Annual Report (PDF file, 72 pages).  I
recommend that everyone do this for 3 reasons:

1.  There are many great photographs (Bokeh city!)
2.  You will get an idea of the direction Leica is moving.
3.  You will see that Leica is not making "wild" profits with such high
prices; even if you cut back their R & D.

Low quantity, high quality, pay the piper!!!  There are many Swiss watchmakers
in the same boat.  Plain & Simple!!  :-)
