You turn the shutter, and it clicks 1/2 way between two standard shutter
speeds. Just like Leica's aperture vs. Nikon's. Leica has 1/2 stops, Nikon
doesn't. A major advantage for Leica when using manual and aperture priority.

No, but the R7 does give noticeably sharper pictures at slow shutter speeds
because of it.
