[Author Prev] [Author Next] [Thread Prev] [Thread Next] [Author Index] [Topic Index] [Home] [Search]there where lots of interesting solutions about the problem "no power switch on m6 cameras & self-firing in the camera bag" posted here. this is mine: if i've enough space in the camera bag, i have a place for the M6 standig upwards in the bag with enough space over it (over the release button). if the bag is stuffed (not enough space), i had success with wraping the camera-strap arround the camera, that the stiff neck-piece forms something like a protection-shield over the release button. so i don't need any extra equipment to protect the button from "self firing". this simple "protection" is removed fast and automatically, when i pull the camera out of the bag. i'm one of them, who advocate the habit of "cocked shutters" - to be ready. for that, setting the speed-dial to "B" is no solution for me. and: i don't realy miss an "on-off-switch". as i know, the suggestion "the shutter must be uncocked while storing the camera" does'nt apply anymore since some decades for 35-cameras. it was (as i know) a suggestion for technology like compur-shutters.
