James:
I never heard of a two cam doing any damage to an R body. I have used
several of the two cam lenses with mine without any problems. Two cam
lenses are a bit inconvenient though. With my R4 body, I had to hold
the depth-of-field preview switch and stop-down meter to get an accurate
reading. If I didn't do that, I had readings 1 1/2 to 2 stops off and
the descrepancies were not linear. I finally sold off the remaining SL
body and the two cam type lenses and bought all 3 cam.
