Subject: [Leica] MR-9 PX 625 battery adaptors

Just discovered an interesting gizmo on the Net which claims to be an
idiot-proof replacement for mercury PX625 batteries, using a silver oxide
cell and micro-circuit voltage reduction. Not particularly cheap at
USD29.95 a crack, but I'm enquiring about bulk discounts as I'd need around
a dozen.

The site is at:

http://www.criscam.com/cris2i.htm

Any of you LUGnuts out there had any experience with this silver
oxide/adaptor combo?

If so, does it work, and how long do the silver oxide batteries last?

TIA

Slan

Alex
