True, I could buy a top titanium bike frame for about $1,500, and it would
weigh about 2.5 pounds.  Maybe if a lens was entirely titanium, it would feel
too light and "cheap."  Also, I think titanium against titanium is not a good
match, e.g., a titanium bike frame with a titanium seat post will produce a
lot of squeeking!!
