As I might have expected from the LUG, diverse opinions strongly held. I am still not sure which way I will go, but given the very positive feeling about both steel and plastic, I suspect I cannot go wrong either way. A couple of you strongly suggested a two reel tank, even if I expect to process only one reel most of the time. However, as I assume the tank has to be filled regardless of whether both reels are, does that not meant that you use twice the chemicals in each run? I just got two rolls of TMAX 100 back from processor I always use, but this time all of the highlights are bown and the negatives are almost impossible to scan...come up very light. No question that the next roll that is screwed up will be screwed up by me! Thanks again. And digital contacts do not seem out of the question, although my Nikon scanner will require 12 passes for a 36 exposure roll. But not a big deal.
