Of course sharpness at F1.0 is not really the issue. Flare, ghost control,
and contrast  wide open are what the Noctilux is all about. The images are
usually shot hand held so ultimate resolution goes by the wayside as well -
not to mention the 1/15  shutter speed ! (:-)
