Nah.  The basic cloth "technology" is fairly old, and is from the US.  But
the Japanese first thought of selling bits of the material for
lens-cleaning.  I understand most of the cloth is actually US-made but who
knows?  Mayhaps it comes from Kosovo.

There's no "licensing" involved, incidentally, as no patents were taken
out.  So you too can market your own "Roy J Feldman Micro-Fibre Cleaning
Cloth", perhaps with a cute picture of your dog or some other appropriate
logo.
