Bill, I hate to disagree with your kind reply to Ben below, but I believe that the 'Leica Postal Portfolio' society (in Britain) is the oldest Leica society in the world, though I'd be happy enough to learn otherwise. We were founded in 1936 after breaking away from a previous Postal Portfolio group here in Britain, the 'miniaturists' in the society left to 'do their own thing' and so LPP was formed. We are the largest and oldest society of Leica devotees in the world. Our members' interest encompass all manner of Leica activities from Leica collecting and history to using and getting the most out of your Leica. We publish a quarterly journal, the Viewfinder and the Leica Catalog, a catlog for members to buy and sell Leica items. We have an Annual Meeting (this year in Denver Oct 2-4) and we also conduct an annual Raffle with great Leica prizes for members. All this for the bargain price of $45 annually for US members.
