Subject: [Leica] Question of Contax TVS vs. Leica Minilux Zoom

Dear Fellow LUGnuts,

I have been using the Contax T2 and TVS cameras for the past three years.  I
have for the most part been very happy with the results.  I got my wife a
Canon Elf for her snapshots but have been less than impressed with the zoom
lens on that camera.

In viewing the latest 5/98 Leica Photographie magazine, I was very impressed
with the shots using the Minilux Zoom.  The photos show sharpness and
contrast that are very impressive.

My questions:

1. Is the zoom lens in the Leica ZX2 the same as in the Minilux Zoom?

2. Has anyone really compared the zoom lens on the Contax TVS to the Minilux
zoom?
