However, the mechanical nature of the beast means that parts can almost always be fabricated even when NOS stocks are gone, though the price of repairs will escalate dramatically. - --Marc James Small - --------------------------------------------------------- Marc, I believe that Professional Camera, NYC, can probably fabricate parts for much older cameras than the M3 -- and not for outrageous cost either. Besides, Leica Solms success rests on the immortality of Leicas -- that's one of its selling points. That is also one of the reasons that an electronic Leica M would not be a Leica. It would be something else. And an electronic Leica lens would not be a Leica lens. It would be something else. If you want to spend thousands on something else, be my guest. If you want a true Leica, you have it now. If you wish for something else you may be unfortunate enough to get what you desire. Best, Bob
