I think that the 'M' cameras, the black in particular, register with people's subconcious as a 'point 'n shoot', and they never really 'notice' the camera; a case of them 'looking' at the camera, and not really 'seeing' it. Then again, if that IIIf looks like it just came out of the box, with all that shiny chrome, an' neat little knobs and stuff- it could be looks of envy! Did you notice any green eyes?. I almost forgot- if your Summitar has that funky foldup barndoor lenshade, that could attract some attention! The first time I pointed mine at my son, he said, " Gee, Dad, that sure looks dorky!" p.s. did you get a Black Dial or Red Dial. I have both, and I really do think the RD is smoother and quieter than the BD- your opinion?! Best of light ! Dan'l dwpost@msn.com
