These days, they are being squeezed more and more into a specialty niche by Mamyia. The problem is that there is a very limited market availible for medium format, so 35mm seems like a good place to move to. I also think that they have already separated themselvs from the rest of the pack by offering an actual panoramic feature. I for one am drooling already. eyes - --WebTV-Mail-1281081387-122 Content-Disposition: Inline Content-Type: Message/RFC822 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7Bit Received: from mailsorter-102.bryant.webtv.net (mailsorter-102.iap.bryant.webtv.net [207.79.35.92]) by postoffice-151.iap.bryant.webtv.net (8.8.5/po.gso.24Feb98) with ESMTP id OAA23521; Wed, 22 Jul 1998 14:48:29 -0700 (PDT) Received: from mejac.palo-alto.ca.us (mejac.palo-alto.ca.us [192.147.236.1]) by mailsorter-102.bryant.webtv.net (8.8.5/ms.graham.14Aug97) with ESMTP id OAA07719; Wed, 22 Jul 1998 14:48:29 -0700 (PDT) Received: from by mejac.palo-alto.ca.us (5.65/KJV) id AA21394 Wed, 22 Jul 98 12:44:15 -0700 Received: from ns.newbridge.com by mejac.palo-alto.ca.us (5.65/KJV) id AA21388 Wed, 22 Jul 98 12:44:11 -0700 Received: (from smtpd@localhost) by ns.newbridge.com (8.8.8/8.6.12) id PAA06243 for leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us; Wed, 22 Jul 1998 15:44:11 -0400 (EDT) Received: from kanata-gw1.newbridge.com(192.75.23.72), claiming to be "kanata-gw1.ca.newbridge.com" via SMTP by ns.newbridge.com, id smtpdAAAa06233; Wed Jul 22 15:44:08 1998 Received: from kanmaster.ca.newbridge.com by kanata-gw1.ca.newbridge.com via smtpd (for ns.newbridge.com [192.75.23.67]) with SMTP; 22 Jul 1998 19:44:07 UT Received: from popmail.ca.newbridge.com (popmail.ca.newbridge.com [138.120.118.14]) by ca.newbridge.com. What intrigues me more are the product management issues. What's the market? What's the motivation? What's the business case? Answers to these questions are most obscure to me...
