If they will cover a 65mm image circle, they would be huge at f 1.4!!! eyes - --WebTV-Mail-1711051154-318 Content-Disposition: Inline Content-Type: Message/RFC822 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7Bit Received: from mailsorter-102.bryant.webtv.net (mailsorter-102.iap.bryant.webtv.net [207.79.35.92]) by postoffice-152.iap.bryant.webtv.net (8.8.5/po.gso.24Feb98) with ESMTP id KAA20482; Wed, 22 Jul 1998 10:39:28 -0700 (PDT) Received: from mejac.palo-alto.ca.us (mejac.palo-alto.ca.us [192.147.236.1]) by mailsorter-102.bryant.webtv.net (8.8.5/ms.graham.14Aug97) with ESMTP id KAA03359; Wed, 22 Jul 1998 10:39:26 -0700 (PDT) Received: from by mejac.palo-alto.ca.us (5.65/KJV) id AA20371 Wed, 22 Jul 98 10:08:57 -0700 Received: from ns.newbridge.com by mejac.palo-alto.ca.us (5.65/KJV) id AA20365 Wed, 22 Jul 98 10:08:52 -0700 Received: (from smtpd@localhost) by ns.newbridge.com (8.8.8/8.6.12) id NAA13445 for leica-users@mejac.palo-alto.ca.us; Wed, 22 Jul 1998 13:08:53 -0400 (EDT) Received: from kanata-gw1.newbridge.com(192.75.23.72), claiming to be "kanata-gw1.ca.newbridge.com" via SMTP by ns.newbridge.com, id smtpdAAAa13430; Wed Jul 22 13:08:43 1998 Received: from kanmaster.ca.newbridge.com by kanata-gw1.ca.newbridge.com via smtpd (for ns.newbridge.com [192.75.23.67]) with SMTP; 22 Jul 1998 17:08:43 UT Received: from popmail.ca.newbridge.com (popmail.ca.newbridge.com [138.120.118.14]) by ca.newbridge.com. Do you really think so? I'm having a hard time figuring out who the intended market is. Not Leica users, the lenses are too slow. What sort of professional needs a panoramic camera like that, when a Hasselblad SWC will do at least as good a job? Is this a panoramic camera that also happens to shoot regular 35mm negs, or a 35mm camera that has an honest panorama mode? To me, this camera combines the worst of both worlds - the flexibility of an RF 35 is compromised by the slow lenses, and the negative size advantage of MF is restricted by the 24mm height restriction. IMO, the camera ends up being neither fish nor fowl. A system consisting of a Leica M and a SWC would do everything this camera is apparently capable of and a lot more besides. It will be interesting to see how they market it. Paul Chefurka - --WebTV-Mail-1711051154-318--
