I bought a black bag for loading and Thetenal chemistries (E6-3 baths approx. $30.00/1l Kit for 4 to 8 films process). When I got to black & white, I started with Kodak products just because they are more easy to find - TMAX100 using TMAX Film Dev, Stop Bath Indicator and Kodafix. If you are doing B&W the initial cost is approximately $150.00 for everything you need. If transparencies are of any interest to you, consider buying a used JOBO tempered bath unit or Nova (cost approx. $300.00).
