Unless you're willing to spend $30,000 to $50,000 a flatbed scanner with
transparency adapter isn't going to match a good middle-range slide/neg.
scanner. So said a research project in a digital imaging magazine (can't
remember the title) several months ago. That said, Microtek does make
pretty good flatbed scanners. For home use, it might be just the ticket.
