Subject: [Leica] The demise of film, not!

Luggers:

Before you sing the requiem for film, consider Velvia. A HUGE moneymaker
for fuji and thorn in kodak's side. It's safe to say that no newspaper has
ever routinely used Velvia, you can't buy it at Walmart, and most snappers
think it's a cheese spread; so who is buying it? The same people who will
continue to buy film long after the best route to a snapshot is a microchip.

Film may become an art supply, but just as silver emulsion didn't signal
the end of oil paint, so digital will not be the end of film.
