So, has anyone here used both of them. I'm sure there is a difference, but how much difference for these wide open, low light pictures of people living their lives?>>>>>>> Hi Mark, I unfortunately missed a Canon 0.95 a couple years ago that was priced at $250.00 Canadian. One of the truly great lost sales of my photographic career. I've wanted one of them since the movie, "Tom Jones!" as the lens was adapted for use in shooting the candle lit scenes of Tom and "lady friend!" Just gorgeous feelings and mood to the scenes, quite remarkable actually. It is the kind of thing I strive for when using my Noctilux with colour film and shooting at f 1.0 My advice would be, get the lens for whatever you can and if you don't like what you see .....call me and I'll take it off your hands! :) Now there's a deal you can't loose on. :) I bet you'll never part with it once you start using it during those magical moments of light that only a lens as fast as it is can capture. Sure there are going to be all kinds of whiners telling you it isn't as good as the Noctilux, there right!! But, "Who cares!" Man you'll capture mood and feeling the whiners will drool after! I've seen it from those who get antsy about using the Noctilux wide open, "oh there isn't any DOF or it vignettes on the corners etc etec" ...hell these kind of people don't understand the magic of light unless there's enough for f 11! :) All this of course in my most humble opinion. :) Don't forget, if you don't like the lens call me and it'll be gone! :) ted
