If the above is too radical for you, let me just add that the Asph had better edges until 5.6 onward but in the centre there was not much in it from 2.8 well, i'm not surprised that the quality is similar -- the summicron is a hell of a lens. so the 40 is really a 35? Well, remember that the 40 was designed for the CL, which does not have as large a viewfinder, nor as accurate frame lines as the m-3, i think. So maybe the put a little room in there, remembering that the camera was intended more for the casual user who isn't going to spend a lot of time comparing images to what they see in the viewfinder, they just want all of what they want in the picture. cTrentelman Ogden ut >>
