It is apparent that you have not seen one of these puppies. It really is not very large at all. Go to a dealer and try one. You may be surprised. Now the chunk of glass in the front of the 75 1.4 is a pretty good size bit of glass, but this is not an aspherical lens. There is no Leica M aspherical lens with a large chunk of glass. Tom Shea
