LUG-niks
While participating in LUG discussions I have discovered that I have
been working with only half a deck. References by LUG-gers were
becoming increasingly puzzling as they referenced messages I had not
read. So, I subscribed to the Digest form in addition to the list to
check what messages I was being dealt.

Lo and behold. During the past 24 hours, I counted a difference of
nine missing messages. Don't laugh, this is a disaster.

I phoned a relative in UK who works in a software house and he told me
that some servers are testing anti-spam filters and a lot of e-mail is
being junked or bounced. Some in error. He couldn't elaborate so I am
left wondering whether to use the Digest form. At least they are
numbered. But how does one respond to an individual digest posting .

This may only be a European problem as I have heard that spamming is
legal elsewhere.
