Subject: [Leica] Re: Leica R8 Styling

Let me preface my remarks by saying that I've only seen a R8 in the flesh
once, and this was at a camera show back in May, 1997. But the first time I
saw this camera I loved it! Not for its features or its bright viewfinder,
but for the sheer audacity of its styling. Aesthetically this is a camera
that has personality and character and is not a camera that looks like every
other boring SLR that comes down the pike. I applaud Leica for not
following the pack and to produce a camera that has no direct styling
connection with their previous SLR's. No guts no glory as they say.
