Subject: [Leica] Fixed Mirror actually a Beam Splitter

I believe that the fixed mirror is actually a beam splitter same as used in
RFs.
and as such come in various degrees of transmission / reflection ratios. I do
know that in the days when I was replacing them in Leica rangefinders, that
they came in both gold and silver and from 40/60 to 60/40 trans/reflect
ratios.
The last time ( a few years ago) that I bought any, they came in gold only,
but in any case they are going to cut down the light going to your eye or
lens.
