I like the two touch of the Angenieux but I don't like the plastic= feel. The optics are extremely good. As are the Leica optics. I would say it's a toss-up in the optics department. I do not like the one touch Leica/Minolta zoom mechanism because you cannot use ND Grad or polarizer filters. The zoom mechanism pushes the lens shade out. If I were to buy one today, I would buy the Leica zoom and remove (or have removed) the lens shade, then use a screw-in shade when needed. The Leica zoom is metal, smooth, and feels substantial.= The opposite of the Angenieux.
