Nathan has made very interesting points in his statement for "younger folks" who have yet to have children or theirs are a bit young yet to "play with a Leica!" The first, ""I often take him with me on "expeditions"" The operative word here for those wishing to take their children on a picture walk about, get them hooked by going on an ""expedition!"" That "expedition" of course is a search for a visual magical moment! An opportunity to start the childs' awareness of life around them. Second: ""one of the reasons I started using digital printing is that the children (I also have a 4-year old) can be around me when I am manipulating pictures on the computer."" The new wave world of childhood....learning how to make pictures on, in, by and from computers!!!! Imagine where computers, colour printers, digital and heaven knows what else electronic magic will be to children of LUGNUTS when their children are old enough to be members! :) And that's why I say, there isn't anything greater than involving your children in your "hobby" of photography, Leica or otherwise. Hell you don't have to read articles on "bonding" to tell you how to get close to your kids, photography did it long before the word "bonding" meant anything more than, "gluing something together!" :) Quite frankly getting them in the darkroom, sure as hell will keep them out of the jail!!
