I thought the whole point of being able to control the output of flash in relation to the ambient light is that you DON'T want *obvious* fill- flash. You just want to reduce the contrast to something that the film can handle and that doesn't require so much dodging and burning in later in the darkroom (unless using slides, of course). In other words: Fill flash, yes, but not obvious fill flash. Just "natural" looking lighting. I put natural in quotation marks, because well balanced fill flash is no more or less artificial than using a reflector. M. - -- Martin V.
