My question is simply -- will I get more grain >with T3200 or Tri-X pushed two stops? Tri-X shot at ei400 and developed normally in XTOL is about as grainy as TMZ (TMax 3200P) shot at ei800 and developed for ei800 (actually Tri-X is very slightly more grainy). I'm guessing (but have never tried it) that Tri-X pushed two stops to 1600 is going to be grainier than TMZ by a decent margin. If it's only a few rolls, it wouldn't be a big deal to run the film in, say, TMax-RS or D-76 in hand tanks, and both of those would probably be more grainy than XTOL. On the other hand, it's not a big deal to expose a roll of each, and find out, and then tell us what the results were! - -Paul
