What would I be giving up (other than the meter) if I got an M3 instead
of an M6HM

(1) M3 film loading isn't real fast
(2) Neither is it's film rewind
(3) No Hot shoe
(4) Some have 2-stroke film wind and no frame preview lever (depending on
age of M3)
(5) No Winder couplings
(6) No Framelines wider than 50mm
(7) Need to consider age of camera and whether it's overdue for maintenance
(8) Lacks ever-popular red dot. Cool art deco levers, though.

Very pretty camera, and well worth a look if you can get a deal.

Seems to me that since I'm a user, not a collector, perhaps the
Canadien lenses would be a better buy? (Oh no, did I just say German vs
Canadien?...:-) TIA

Beware of things Canadian! Many Canadians are difficult to distinguish from
their American counterparts, and their population is concentrated not far
from the northern US border--doesn't that sort of make you wonder? I have
been on a campaign to remove Canadian "Leica" gear from the marketplace one
piece at a time, and have extended the deadline for submissions as a public
service for members of the LUG. Due to obvious safety concerns, submissions
cannot be returned. Please do as patriotic Americans do: Buy German and
Japanese!

Thank you
Jeff
