Don,

Yes, it has been discussed. Basically it is "not permissible" due to the
light meter in the M6.  Shutter speeds for the meter cannot be
intermediate. 

I believe the shutter times (speeds) will operate at intermediate
settings just like the older M variants.  Its just the meter will not be
accurate.
