Depends on what you mean high contrast. :-)

They are wonderful lenses, if a bit slow. Because they only have two
air-to-glass surfaces, they are really more like f/5.6 in practice. Not too
bad for a 400. And the price is right. They are not, by any means, low
resolution. They do have marked curvature of field, but it's not too bad.

The focus takes some getting used to, but manageable.

And they are 6.8. The 800 Telyt-S is a 6.3.
