It is mandatory in Germany to publish prices including VAT. So a $1995 Leica at 1.8DM/$ gives a "German price" of 4165.56 DM=20 - - not so cheap, ey? The mentioned "out-of-the window M6" for 3600 DM = thus corresponds to about $1724 which is close to the $1772 Rick Floyd = has paid at the Leica dealer show. These "out-of-the window" offers for about 3600-3800 DM are quite common here. Gerd
