I'm sitting here with a brand new chrome M6 that I just picked up from my dealer. Since they had a Leica "show" last week, I got it for the show price of $1772.05 + Michigan sales tax. Since I have been shopping for over a year, I am pleased with this price. For information sake, I will be using it without tape over the red dot and no uv filter - (no lens until tomorrow, either). Guess I'm living on the wild side. Incidently, I bought the chrome version for the "classic" look when I try some of those lenses suggest by Alf. I won't, however, be taking his advice on divorcing my wife. After 21 years, I think we are made for each other. By the way Alf, I did take your advice as a joke. My wife has never made me beg for anything. She is however, a good reality check for me. So now I am an official "LUG-nut". When do I get my gold star (red dot) for my forehead? <bg> Once again, thanks for all of the LUG for your help - especially Tina, Mike Johnston, Alf, Ted, Ken Wilcox, Paula and Paul, Eric, Bill Erfurth, Dennis Painter, Bernard Wingerter, Isaac Crawford and Bob Rose. Best Regards, Rick Floyd ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
