Isn't the opposite the way it works? If you are the same distance at the edge of the frame from the person's eye as you were when that eye was in the center, than the subject has moved closer to the film plane. Subject focused on ---------------------------------------------> Eye | | | | | some distance| | | | Camera - looking directly at subject, eye off in the right corner of viewfinder.
