My ex-Leitz friend and optical engineer just brought by and left to play
with a 40-400 f/5 constand aperture zoom.  Apparently came of an aerial
photo rig and fitted somehow with remote controls, though it look much
like a movie camera lens.  We're talking ZOOOOOOM.  And works on a R. 
Gonna do some testing, though I don't think King Erwin is any serious
danger of being unseated from his throne.
