Major gaps of US and Canadian life changes which actually illustrate how we as nations' evolve. For ten years I shot for the National Film Board of Canada documenting the "Canadian way of life" along with other freelancers hired for the purpose of recording all the things that make us Canadians. Never once to my knowledge, did any of us ever get releases, and I mean we photographed thousands upon thousands of Canadians in all wolks of society. I think what happened over the years, people learned they could "sue somebody for money!" And today we have people suing for the simplest of things as long as they can make a buck. It's a pox on our society, as it spoils so many instantaneous picture moments. I've only had one instance of someone trying to sue me over a picture and all I said was, I would be only too pleased to share my earnings from the picture if he would share the costs involved in getting it. End of conversation! :) ted
